A few years ago, Alvida started making its services more sustainable, so that we provide the events and parties for our customers in an environmentally conscious way with the climate as a starting point. We would like to take you through the steps we have taken.
We use the paperless office principle. Almost all internal and external documentation is sent digitally as much as possible. This includes contracts, quotes, invoices and other means of communication. All documents are stored on encrypted hard drives, which also ensures the security of our customers' data. These hard drives are encrypted and are stored in various safes.
Both at our location and at our customers' location, we only use LED lighting and energy-efficient equipment. This applies to, among other things, the lighting, the ambient lighting, the colored LED spots and the bar lighting. All our cranes have a water-saving aerator. This means that we saved 40% and 50% on water use in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
In recent years, transport reduction has helped us to go back to half of our fleet. By focusing efficiently on transport and the use of energy-efficient cars, we are contributing a very big step in reducing CO2 emissions.
Waste prevention, and in particular combating food waste. Using energy efficiently and creating recyclable packaging often result in less waste. The waste generated in our production is separated and processed daily so that 98% of our waste can be recycled.
Our products are produced by sustainable cultivation, so that no or less damage is caused to biodiversity, ecosystems, water and climate. Better for the environment, so better for you, that's why we work with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients.
Last but not least, an honest presentation. During an event, buffet, barbecue or food market, the presentation is of course just as important as the points mentioned above. We make extensive use of recycled products in the presentation of our dishes. This includes the well-known wooden crates, beautiful and responsible decorative items that we maintain in-house so that they can be used again at any event. You will also find our famous spice crates at all our buffets, food markets and barbecue events so that your guests cut the herbs themselves, it couldn't be fresher! In addition, where possible, we work with biodegradable disposables and the materials we use are purchased completely sustainably.
Ik had het genoeg om gebruik te maken van de diensten van Alvida voor de opening van ons nieuwe bedrijf, en ik kan niet anders dan lovend zijn over hun werk! Vanaf het eerste contact was het duidelijk dat ze niet alleen professionaliteit, maar ook passie voor hun vak bezaten.
Het team was uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en alles werd tot in de puntjes geregeld, de presentatie was prachtig en er was voor ieder wat wils. Onze gasten waren unaniem enthousiast!
Wat ik vooral waardeerde, was de flexibiliteit van het cateringbedrijf. Ze luisteren aandachtig naar onze wensen en geven advies. Alles werd op tijd geleverd en het personeel was discreet en zorgzaam tijdens het evenement.
Dankzij Alvida werd de opening een groot succes, en ik zou ze zonder overweging aanbevelen voor elke gelegenheid. Ze hebben echt onze verwachtingen overtroffen!

Voor onze BBQ afgelopen vrijdag hebben wij samengewerkt met Alvida voor de catering, en dat is ons ontzettend goed bevallen. Vanaf het eerste contactmoment was het duidelijk dat we te maken hadden met een ervaren en gastvrij team.
We hebben het enorm gewaardeerd hoe Alvida met ons meedacht over de invulling en uitvoering van het evenement. Dat gaf ons veel rust en vertrouwen. Hun jarenlange ervaring was echt top tijdens het opbouwen.
Ik heb vanaf het begin geschakeld met Roy, en het was erg fijn om direct een goede klik te hebben. Ik vind het ontzettend belangrijk om met partijen samen te werken waarbij dat gevoel er is, en Roy heeft daar goed voor gezorgd. Het was ook leuk om hem tijdens het event zelf te mogen zien.
De sfeer tijdens de BBQ was precies wat we hoopten: warm, knus maar toch strak en professioneel. De combinatie van de statafels, de BBQ en de bar paste perfect bij elkaar en zorgde voor een hele fijne setting waar iedereen zich op z’n gemak voelde.
Daarnaast werd er goed rekening gehouden met collega’s met allergieën en dieetwensen. Er waren voldoende opties, waaronder veel glutenvrije keuzes.
Ook het drankaanbod was erg goed afgestemd: er was een fijne selectie met én zonder alcohol. De alcoholvrije mojito was heerlijk fris.
De cannoli waren een leuke en smakelijke touch bij de bar, die smaakte zeker naar meer!

The team consists of representative and hardworking ladies and gentlemen, you are so nice! Everyone immediately had the feeling of Christmas and it stayed that way all evening. For the symbolic first post on our lot, we looked for a caterer and ended up at Alvida. It was quite a short day but we were kindly spoken to and helped by phone. A few days later, we were able to meet at the location to discuss things. Roy-Alexander was very friendly, thought along with us about our wishes and came up with great ideas himself. We found this to be very pleasant. On the day of our event, Alvida arrived right on time to build up. The bar looked good, and the other materials brought along were also neat and of good quality. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic, even towards our guests. The snacks and drinks were delicious and people went around regularly, so we and our guests were not short of anything.
We are very satisfied with Alvida and glad that we asked you to provide catering on this special day for us. It was really a success and we had many reactions from our guests during and afterwards about the cozy atmosphere, the good catering and the friendly staff. Compliments! We will definitely think about calling you again when we deliver our house

They more than lived up to the expectations; Alvida's enthusiastic team takes plenty of time, likes to think along with you and takes care of the entire evening down to the last detail!
The result was a carefree afternoon, where our guests were greeted enthusiastically and served with original snacks, bites and drinks. We are happy to think back to our opening reception - partly thanks to Alvida's care.
